Hi, I’m Tereza Barnard, your instructor for this course.

In the past couple of years, I went from painting as a hobby to being a professional painter, with my art available through reputable galleries, in the finals of world-renowned competitions, and in magazines and hardcovers books.
I used to abandon about 50 percent of my paintings before I learnt the forgiving techniques I currently use.
As a mum of three young kids, online courses and mentorships felt like the main way I could learn, and it worked!
Now I turn my knowledge into online courses myself.

You likely won’t enjoy the course if you are after quick results. Building up realism brushstroke by brushstroke takes time and patience. It is a very forgiving technique, but it is time consuming.

I believe you will. The anatomy from an artist’s perspective lesson is applicable to any media and will reframe how you tackle painting an eye regardless of what you paint it with. Some things will be different, such as worrying about drying times and that kind of stuff, but I believe it will still be beneficial, because building texture to create a three-dimensional realism is applicable to a variety of media.
